Some of my favorite things on Closeout!!

There are so many amazing Posh products on Closeout right now!  The good news is that they are amazing deals, the bad news is that once they sell out they are gone :(

Here's a few of my favorites that I am super sad to see going and that you should snag before they are gone.

1. Brazilian Bombshell Snarky Bar-This is finely ground Persian walnut shell exfoliating bar with shea butter and an intoxicating exotic scent of jungle fruits and cane sugar.  I L-O-V-E this bar!!  I get the closest shave on my legs if I use this first and it smells so yummy!  Regularly $15 now $9.

2. I've Been Set Up Setting and Refreshing Mist-This is a light spray with chocolate-peppermint hydrosol.  I use this to set my makeup and also occaisionally throughout the day to refresh it.  I don't wear makeup without using this and I am so sad we aren't making it anymore :(  Now $9

3. We Put de Lime in de Coconut Body Scrub-this scrub is so delicious with its fresh lime scent and coconut shell and shred right in it.  I love this scrub! Was $24 now $20.

4. Viva Senorita Chunk-this is a luxurious bath bar with an amazing creamy lather and a fresh clean invigorating lime scent.  I love using this in the shower and tub because it feels so nice and smells amazing! Was $9 now $7.

5.The "it" Girl Perfume Roller-this is a sunflower oil fragrance roller with a fresh grapefruit lily scent that everyone loves.  This scent really is so amazing and I get compliments on it all of the time.   Now $7.

6. Snarky Butter-this body butter has such an amazing fresh clean scent that is so good!  It smells slightly like V.S. Pink Fresh and Clean.  It has Bergamot, Florals and Sandalwood and it is magic!  The consistency of the body butter and its moisturizing ingredients (Shea butter, almond, milk and honey) are also amazing.  This luckily is still available in another size once this size is sold out.  Was $22 now $18.

7. Scrumptious Sunshine-another Skindelicous body butter, this butter is made with cocoa butter and smells like fresh satsuma and citrus essential oils.  This is an amazing citrus scent that is so fresh!  I am really sad to see this go :(  Was $24 now $18.

Honorable Mentions:

For the sweet, desert-type fragrance lover, there are 3 amazing options on closeout right now Treat Yourself Chunk bath bar (luxurious lather and cookie scent), Acute Candy Trance Body Frosting comes in the cutest frosting cup container and smells delicous, and Poshymallow bath mix these bath mixes give you a luxurious fragrant bath treatment with a sweet marshmallow scent.

For those suffering from terrible dry lips: All You Need is Love-this HUGE lip balm packs an amazing moisturizing punch with no fragrance or flavor and no ingredients to dry out your lips.

For those who need a hyper-hydrating night creme for winter-Sweet Dreams Night Creme is amazing and a little goes a long way.

For those who love Plumeria-Walk on the Beach Pedicure Sand Scrub-this scrub has really fine sand to give you a nice polish.  I love using this on my whole body :)

For those who love DIY face masks-Pamperology Face Mask Mix Kit-this simplifies any mask recipe as the mix already has honey, annato (a superfood with minerals great for your face), and some kaolin clay.  You can mix this with water, milk, yogurt, bananas, avocados, etc. and you have a great mask due to the mix itself plus the properties of whatever you mixed it with.  It makes it that much easier to get an amazing concoction :)

These are going fast so if you see something you want, get it!  These really are amazing deals!  The one thing on the list I would not reccomend is the Catty Coral lip dye...on most people it does not actually show up :(  The rest of the Closeout list though is amazing!!

Thanks for reading about my favorites!

P.S. don't forget everything (even closeout) is always buy 5 get the 6th free!!

Perfectly Posh Review: Peace Love and Take a Shower Chunk Soap

So I have to be honest with you, when I first opened and smelled this I wasn't super excited about it.  I love floral and fruity smells and this was neither.  But it didn't smell bad and it even smelled kinda good.  So I decided to try it out in the shower.

This is my new favorite Chunk bar!!  It has a really nice lather (they all do, but this one really glides nicely) it also makes me feel amazing!  It has some herbs and essential oils in it that are so de-stressing and give me a boost.  I can't really explain it that well, but it makes me feel really good and relaxed and happy :)

Here's the scoop from Posh's website: "It’s like, wow, man. Earthy, essential oils create a mind-altering experience in clean. Release your inner hippie, turn on to a natural clean, and use this chunk bar to wash away the stresses of this modern age."

"What Is It?:
Finest milled, earthy soap chunk
What Does It Do?:
An earthy, clean vegan base of palm and coconut oil blended with a cannabis, parsley, and algae clean
How To Use It:
Use in shower or bath Lather into hands and clean yourself from head to toe Rinse thoroughly Use daily for best results"

Like I said I am usually more of a fruity gal, but honestly, this makes me feel so good that I like it even better than the new peach Bless Your Heart Chunk (which smells so good and also has an amazing rich creamy lather!)
This is just more pampering to me :)  I have to give this soap a 5 out of 5 stars based on it's shower/bath performance!
Want to try some yourself?  Contact me here and send me a message or you can order it here (just search peace) :)  Don't forget to sign up for Perks Points, they add up super fast and equate to 10% back from each order, plus you get points for signing up for points, (how cool is that?), for referrals, for your birthday, on every purchase and even for being a loyal customer.

Perfectly Posh End Mend Review and Before and After

I just got back from Uncon4 with a slew of new products to test out!!  Two that I was super excited to put to the test were the brand new End Mend Split-End Fusing Shampoo and Conditioner.

Are you thinking what I was thinking?  Split-End Fusing?  What!?

I have a ton of split ends right now so I decided I would be the ideal product tester and that I therefore needed to document my experience with a before and after shot.

Holy cow!!  I don't know if even I would have believed the difference this could make in my hair until I actually used it!

My hair feels healthier now than it has in over a year and I can't believe it!  It also is not sticky or heavy at all.

I will definitely be using this and sampling it out and sharing it with everyone!!

The product works by using Kerabeads, a super new technology using tiny, microscopic beads made of wool keratin and seaweed extracts (sources of info below).  The "beads" actively seek out the damaged parts of your hair and cling to it and even seal it together.  See video here.

Kerabead info found here, here, and here.

See full End Mend product info here.

If I had to rate this product right now out of 5 stars, I would have to give it at least 4.5 for sure!!  The only reason I wouldn't give it a complete 5 is because I can still see one split end.  I think that might just be because I have only used it once :)

Thanks for reading!!

Head to the End Mend link above and set up your Perks profile for 250 perks points that you can use to get your own End Mend!  You also get points for your birthday and for referrals!  Contact me with any questions :)

Made in America

One of the reasons that I love buying and sharing Posh so much is that I know who this business benefits!!  It benefits local economies where the purchaser lives (sales tax is paid to the zip code the product arrives in), it benefits workers here in America who make the products, it benefits local consultants who are able to work from home and be with their families, and it benefits the professionals who formulate and design our products.  These are all jobs here in the United States!  They are not overseas sweat-shop jobs.  You can buy something good for you and at a good price and feel sooo good about your purchase!!

Here's an excerpt from a story that talks about how amazing Posh has been for bringing back jobs to workers who had been laid off when their companies either downsized or sent work overseas.  The man speaking is Don, a plant manager for Posh in California.  He is telling Ann (our founder and CEO) how happy he is to be hiring back his old employees as Posh continues to grow. :)

"He was wearing a Stripper t shirt that we had sent in a big box at Christmastime. He was laughing and telling me how his crew making The Stripper had all bet we’d never sell it. How on earth could anyone sell that purpley-gray muck? Then he said, he saw what we’d called it and ROLLED his eyes at us. Months later, he was making entirely NEW equipment because he was making SO much Stripper. The equipment he had on his line wasn’t enough for the much bigger batches needed to be able to keep up. He wanted to hand it to us -- he didn’t think we could pull it off. We had a good laugh. He was ecstatic it was in our top five sellers. He said he could make us as MUCH as we needed. Then he got very serious. He teared even a little, and he said, “thank you. Tell these women, “thank you”. I’m calling my old employees back to work. We’re busy. We are so grateful to have these jobs.”"

You can read the whole blog post on Ann's blog here.

You can contact me via Facebook or Email (jessicasposh@gmail.com) and you can even join my team and be paid to wear and share fabulous pampering products that are all cruelty free, paraben free, sulfate free and made in the U.S.A.

The Caffeinator!! Bye bye tired skin!!

How amazing is that!?  ^^

The Caffeinator is a Shea and Cocoa Butter (loaded with other oils and butters too) stick that contains caffeine and essential oils.

The Claim: Shock tired eyes and face into place with daily use of The Caffeinator. This nourishing formula is perfect for perking up skin during long, tired days or after a short night's sleep. The Caffeinator can help brighten dark circles under eyes, lighten uneven skin over time, relieve inflammation, reduce cellulite, and more. Fragranced with zesty lemon essential oil to really kick you into gear.

My Results:  I got to try this product out at Posh's Day Away retreat and I took a before and after to see what it would do for my under eye bags/divots.  I was really impressed.  The puffiness was completely gone and the area around my eyes was noticeably brightened.

So how does it work?  Caffeine has a brightening and tightening effect on the skin that is great for under eye bags and even cellulite.  You can read more about its use in skin care here.

You can find other amazing Posh products with caffeine here.

You can get more info and purchase The Caffeinator here on Perfectly Posh's site.  I love hearing how much people love these products, so if you get one, let me know how it works for you :)

First Impression: Spring Summer 2015 New Products

I got to go to The Old Spaghetti Factory at Trolley Square on Monday for a team meeting and we passed around all of the new products.  They all smelled so good!!

I'm going to try to start with my absolute must haves, but really I would love to have all of these and hopefully I soon will.  :)

First up is our new Hey Honey! Healing Body Cream.  This is so moisturizing without being greasy and it smells so good!  The scent is a light lemon, raspberry combo.  This cream boasts some amazingly natural moisturizing ingredients such as:Aloe, Sunflower Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil and of course Honey.  You get 6 oz. for $17 and a little goes a long ways!  I thought I got enough for just my hands and ended up using it on my hands and arms.

Next is our Castaway Coconut Skindelicious.  This scent immediately sends your mind to a tropical locale.  It smells exactly like a freshly chopped open coconut and moisturizes like a dream.  Mmmmm!  I am missing it right now as I am typing this and wishing I could be slathering it on myself from head to toe.  This body butter is $22 for 8 oz., and as is typical for Posh products, a little goes a long ways.  This naturally moisturizes with aloe, shea butter, coco butter, beeswax, and of course coconut oil.

The Seas the Day Chunk bar has the best name and packaging of all the new products, at least in my opinion.  This is a gorgeous peachy orange luxury bath bar.  It is huge and has beautiful marbling of ingredients visible in the bar.  It has a luscious lather and a cherry, agave scent, officially called a cherry margarita scent.  You can even use this bar to shave with! The lather is that good.  It is an amazing $9 for 7 oz. and is approximately double the size of a Dove Beauty Bar.  Key ingredients include: glycerin and wild cherry extracts.  This product is Vegan.

We Put De Lime in De Coconut actually might beat out Seas the Day for the best name.  It's a toughie!  This smells sooooo good!!  SO, so, so, so, good!  It is literally lime and coconut refreshing yummy goodness.  It is an immediate pick me up!  The key ingredients in this scrub are: sugar, sea salt, lemon and lime essential oils, coconut oil and jojoba oil.  This product is Vegan and is $24 for 9 oz.  This is a good sized tub that should last months.

One of our favorite scents is My Pink Heaven or Snarky, this is a refreshing floral/citrus/sandalwood scent.  This scent makes me feel super sexy (or gorgeously attractive if you don't like the word sexy ;)) and I love it even more in a body butter.  Now I can put it all over me and smell like a goddess.  This is $22 for 8 oz. and once again this body butter will go along ways and last a while.  Key ingredients are: Aloe, shea butter, beeswax, nonfat dry milk, honey, coco butter, sunflower seed oil, and sweet almond oil.

This scrub has real sand in it!  It's called Walk on the Beach and it is the next best thing to an actual walk on the beach.  It has a nice subtle plumeria, jasmine and plum scent.  The sand is super fine and stays all contained in the scrub.  Key ingredients: acai, jojoba, and sugar.  This is $24 for 9 oz. and it is a Vegan product.

Our new Skin Vixen Dry Body Oil is a perfect treat for perking up and beautifying your skin.  This has a light orange blossom scent.  Apply it to arms and legs for glow and amazing moisture.  I used a dry body oil while pregnant on my itchy skin as my belly was growing and it was fabulous for that too.  This is $22 for 4 oz.  Key ingredients are fast absorbing sunflower seed oil, vitamin e, and rosemary extract.  This is a Vegan product.

The "It" Girl perfume roller is a delicious girly fruity scent.  It is grapefruit, apricot and a touch of lily.  This is Vegan with almond oil and macadamia seed oil and vitamin e.  This is $14 for 0.17 fl oz.  This is a Vegan product.

The A Peel to Me Snarky Bar is a nice exfoliating bar.  These bars are so nice for a quick scrub in the shower or bath.  The scent is an extremely refreshing and sweet citrus scent.  Key ingredients: Sugar, shea butter, orange peel and orange oil and loofah.  $15 for a 6 oz. bar and this product is Vegan.

This is the newest addition to our Posh Life set.  This creamy lip butter has the signature lemon berry scent and packs on some serious moisture.  Key ingredients include: Shea butter, lemon oil, raspberry extract, rosemary extract, sunflower oil, jojoba oil, macadamia oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil and coco butter.  This is $10 for 0.5 fl oz. and it may be the best lip butter you will ever own.

I'm going to be honest.  This was the only product that I don't know if I will buy.  This bar has a lot of potential benefits but I didn't love the smell.  But hey, you might love it.  The scent is a lime and sea salt fresh fragrance.  The bar is gorgeous and huge and has a luxurious lather.  It is an off white bar with bits of light lime green in it.  Key ingredients are citric acid and lime for natural exfoliation and moisturization.  This is $9 for 7 oz. and is double the size of a standard soap bar and the lather is so much better.  This product is Vegan.

Does peeling foot skin give you the heebie jeebies?  What about super calloused, thick foot skin?  This is the most buzz-worthy of our new products.  You apply the whole tube of glycolic acid treatment to your two feet, cover with the booties, then the polka dot socks, let sit for 1 hour then wash off.  Your tootsies will begin peeling in 3 to 7 days.  Soaks can help with the peeling process, do not pull on the peeling skin or try to remove it before it is ready.

The peel will leave you with soft brand new skin on your feet!  This smells like peppermint and thyme and is one treatment for $24.  It is a Vegan product.

I'm super excited for this facial bar!  The Pore-fect bar is made to deep clean pores without drying your face out.  Meadowsweet root, tea tree, eucalyptus and blueberry deep clean pores and refresh skin while gently washing and nourishing.  This is $10 for a 7 oz. bar.  This is a lot of washing for a great price!

I'm so excited to be actually able to use this on my face consistently!  I'm Shrinking is a spot treatment to target enlarged pores.  It deep cleans and shrinks pores with kaolin, orange extract, jasmine extract, aloe, and grape seed oil.  This is $22 for 3 oz. and it is Vegan.

I love the smell of coffee!  I would live in that aisle of the grocery store if I could!  Our Daily Grind scrub has been one of my all time favorite Posh products and now it is in an even easier to use Snarky Bar solid scrubbing shea butter bar.  Yes!!  Another thing I love about these two coffee bean products is that they decrease cellulite!  (A temporary effect after each time you use it, I love to use it before I go out in my swimming suit).  This is $15 for 6 oz. and it is Vegan.

Apricots Overnight is a super hydrating and nourishing overnight mask.  This smells like sweet apricots with a touch of citrus and jasmine.  Key ingredients include: Shea butter, Argan oil, Sunflower oil, Aloe, Coconut oil and Coco butter.  This is $22 for 3 oz.

The last one that I tried (but definitely not the least) is the As Good As Gold Natural Moroccan Argan Oil Stick.  This is amazing!  The stick glides on smoothly and was made for psoriasis and eczema but it will also be amazing as a moisturizer or eye cream for aging skin due to the Argan oil.  This is $13 for 0.5 oz. and is packed with amazing ingredients.  A few of my favorites: Shea butter, argan oil, rose hip oil, coco butter, almond oil, macadamia oil, and pineapple and orange extract.  This has a light fruit scent.

This last product I did not actually get to try.  It is called Farmer's Market and it is a new Skindelicious Body Butter.  The scent was described as a watermelon jolly rancher with just a touch of cucumber by those who have used it.  Key ingredients include: Aloe, Coco butter, Sunflower seed oil, Shea butter and Cucumber extract.  This is $22 for 8 oz.

This concludes my first impressions.  I hope you enjoyed it!  What are you dying to have?  I'd love to hear in the comments below.  :)

Choosing the BEST Direct Sales Company for YOU!

I have been lucky enough to realize A. that direct sales companies are not the devil and B. that Perfectly Posh is the best direct sales company for me.

Now, how can I help you find out the truth about direct sales and help you find the PERFECT one for you to join?  It's simple.  I'm going to let you do it yourself.

Answer the questions below as honestly as you can and figure out which company has what you need to be successful.

1.  What is your passion?

  • Is it beauty or skincare related?
    • If so you should explore options within that niche aka Perfectly Posh, Jafra, Avon, Mary Kay, Arbonne, Nerium. Jamberry nails, and BeautiControl
  • Is it Makeup?
    • How about: Younique Cosmetics, Avon, Mary Kay
  • Fashion?
    • Check out LulaRoe, Carlisle, Vault Denim, Stella & Dot, and Agnes and Dora.
  • Jewelry?
    • Paparazzi, Park Lane, Cookie Lee, and Silpada Designs
  • Natural living?
    • DoTerra, Young Living, Beyond Organic, and Norwex
  • Weight loss and Health?
    • It Works, Advocare, and Team Beach Body
  • Decorations or Home Goods?
    • Scentsy, Pink Zebra, Celebrating Home, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, and 31

2.  Do you want an experienced company or a ground floor opportunity?

Companies that have existed for years have pros and cons, as do new companies.  You have to ask yourself if you are willing to take a risk and you need to make sure that it is a calculated risk.  If a company is less than 6 months old you may want to wait.

I love that my company has relatively few consultants compared to our competition (Mary Kay and Avon).  The disadvantage of going with a company with many customers is that many customers who love the product also have a consultant.  Your primary job is convincing people to buy from you.

In a smaller company your main obstacle is that no one has heard of your product.  The majority of people I encounter have never heard of Perfectly Posh.  I have the advantage of being the one to introduce them to this product line and they then want to be my customer.  This is also an advantage in finding new consultants.

If a customer loves Posh so much that they want to sell it too, most likely they will sign up under the consultant who introduced them to Posh.

3.  Would you rather sell super affordable products or more expensive products?

Do you feel more comfortable selling a very affordable product that may not last as long or selling a quality product with a higher price tag?

Will you be hesitant to sell something with a higher price tag?  Will you be constantly worried about the quality of your product if it is cheaply made?

You need to figure out for yourself where you fit into this spectrum.  I am a cheapskate.  I love finding a good bargain.  Sometimes I dread telling someone that my Dead Sea Salt body scrub costs $24, but I find comfort in knowing that once they try my product they will absolutely LOVE it.

4.  How much do you want to pay to start?  What do you get for your start up fee?

Start up fees are typically around $99.  Some are cheaper and some are more expensive.  If you are really strapped for cash, you probably want to pay $99 or less.  If you have more money you can consider options at all price points.

Another very important thing to consider is the value of what you get for your start up fee.  I received almost $300 worth of full size resalable product in my Perfectly Posh starter kit.  I knew that if I changed my mind I could sell my product and actually earn money instead of lose it.  The kit also came with about $100 worth of business supplies.  I had everything I needed for my business in this kit.

If a kit does not come with at least as much retail value as you are paying, I wouldn't pay for it.  I have been very lucky to join a very generous company.  If a company is stingy with their start up kit, it is not a good indication of things to come.

5.  Do you need to be paid monthly or more often?  How much do you want to earn?

For many people, being paid monthly is not enough.  If you have other income then this is fine, but if you want this to be your sole income it will be very difficult to make it work.  Look at how you are paid and how much product you need to sell to meet your financial goals.  Think of your potential customer base and how much you can realistically sell.

If a company has a very high commission percentage but very low priced products it may be hard to sell enough to equal a company that has a just slightly lower commission percentage but quality products with average price points.

For example:  I can throw a Paparazzi Jewelry party and sell about $300 worth of jewelry pretty easily.  If I have about 10 guests and they each buy about $30.  On the other hand if I have a Perfectly Posh party my sales are likely to be higher.  People will still want to buy a few items and those that want to buy 5 and get the 6 free will likely spend at least $70.  10 guests times by an average of $50 per guest would be $500.  My commission would be approximately $125 per party as a Pink consultant.

6.  Do you want to recruit and form a team?

Do you have a desire to jump into your business and recruit others to join you?  If your answer is no, or if you are joining a company that already has thousands of consultants in your area, you need to consider how this will impact your commission.

Many companies offer a higher personal commission based on your team's sales.  If you don't want to recruit, make sure you can be satisfied with a commission rate based solely on your sales.  For example Perfectly Posh taps out at 25% if you don't have a team.

For example if you join Company A that has around 600,000 consultants and you can name 4 that you personally know of, you are going to have a lot of competition for both customers and recruits.  Once again the positive is that your company and product is already well known, but recruiting may be a hurdle.

7.  Are there minimum inventory requirements?  Monthly quotas to hit?  A dress code?  What are the rules?

Some companies have very few rules while others are very structured.  Do you want to be able to be creative and make your business your own?  How much guidance do you want or need?

Some companies have a lot of expectations for their consultants.  Make sure you know what you are getting into and make sure it is what you want.  Something that I love about my company is that there are very few rules.  The rules they do have make perfect sense.  (We can't sell to each other and we need to disclose at all times that we are an independent consultant).

Thanks for reading!!  Have fun exploring all of your amazing options!

Disclaimer:  I am a Perfectly Posh Independent Consultant.  I included the many Perfectly Posh examples because it is what I know from experience.  I tried my hardest not to include horror stories that I have heard about one company in particular.

I urge you to do your own research and to ask former consultants and consultants who will give you an honest opinion about their company for any answers you cannot find on your own.

I had known the person who became my sponsor long before Perfectly Posh.  I knew I could trust her, but even then I just asked general questions without letting her know I was interested.  As far as she knew, I was only asking as a friend (a friend who at that point hated direct sales and never had a desire to join one).

I also asked a few other consultants who I found through Instagram.  I told them I already had someone to sign up under so they could be honest in answering my questions.  They all told me it was a very fun company to join and that they did not regret it.
